We got multiple quotes and decided to go with Evans Painting and Carpentry because of favorable reviews, their ability to do other jobs we needed done, and a competitive quote. They painted 90% of the interior of our 2600 square foot home including removing of wallpaper and drywall repair on a two story foyer. The crew was courteous, very proficient (especially Brett), on time, and most important, the final product turned of great. These guys work, no messing around. In addition to the painting and wallpaper removal, John, the owner, fixed a problem we had with the bathroom duck work where it connected, in the attic, to the roof vent. The wallpaper removal and the attic duck work are jobs not everyone was willing to do. It is nice to deal with one company when doing home projects. John gave us what I consider fair pricing, has a great eye for detail, is very knowledgeable, and we would go back to them for future work we need done. See more See less

Jon Evans and his team have done great work for me. They painted the entire interior and exterior of my house. They patched drywall (a lot), hung doors, and patched wood trim (inside and out). They rebuilt 2 fireplaces with stone and custom-built 2 mantles from reclaimed wood. They tiled my kitchen as well. Some of this work was tricky, such as the tight details around crown moldings for which they customized paint brushes to get the details right. If there was any minor detail that I was not entirely satisfied with, Jon stood behind their work and made it right. I really appreciated the clarity with which Jon would write up the scope, then track changes so as to have no confusion about the price, even as I added tasks to his list. His team worked well with my other contractors (for example, others were making drywall holes as Jon's team was patching them ... no problem!). As the picture indicates, our home has a somewhat unique design with its many decorative boards and windows. The final result looks great. More importantly, all the extensive prep work was done very well--that includes power washing, scraping, primer and, most importantly, extensive caulking. Jon and Brett finished out paint job today. We had always done our own paint work so we were apprehensive, but start to finish, the experience was first rate. I cannot say enough good things about Jon and Brett! Brett painted my living room ceiling, it needed some attention. It looks great! They came back and put new flooring in one of the bedrooms. It is a Pergo laminate, it is beautiful. I have had many compliments on their work. They replaced an old vanity in a bathroom. It looks great! Gosh I can't say enough about Jon. He is singlehandedly the most honest contractor I've ever met/worked with in my life. We have used him for several projects and not only are his prices fair, but his quality, attention to detail, and craftsmanship are pristine. He has trained his employees so well in both quality of service, professionalism, and cleanliness. Jobs are completed on time or earlier than expected.
